Saturday's Food Tip

Today's food tip comes from Susan Wright, a customer in Pennsylvania. To thank Susan for sharing her tip, we'll be sending her a gift box of Three Angels Gourmet Co. products this week.

Click on the headline above to see how you can receive a free gift box of Three Angels Gourmet Co. products, too. You can also read what Susan has to say about our Angel Ale Herb Bread Mix at the homepage of our website.

Here is Susan's tip:

I like to use fresh herbs--there is just no comparison with the flavor burst you get from the real deal--but they are definitely expensive if you don't grow your own. So often I got frustrated by my inability to use it all before I'd open the crisper to find the brown, slimy remains! When I invest in a fresh bunch of something--parsley, cilantro, tarragon, etc.--I try to wash all of it that I'm not using right away and dry thoroughly. Then I seal it in a plastic freezer bag, being careful to squeeze out every bit of air that I can. Frozen tastes almost as good as fresh. Just be sure to label the bag--it's hard to identify miscellaneous frozen green stuff!
