Tuesday's Food Tip

Tea Time Tip: If you love tea but it sometimes seems too weak, maybe you aren't steeping it long enough. Different teas require different steeping times. Follow this general guide for better tea -

Green Tea: Steep for about 3 minutes

Oolong Tea: Steep about 3 to 5 minutes

Black Tea: Steep for about 5 minutes

Herbal Infusions: Steep for 5 minutes

As per Alton brown...

never squeeze a tea bag into the tea - it will make your tea bitter

AND

adding a little salt to coffee will take away bitterness.

Ahh...thanks for the tips. I'll have to try adding a little salt to bitter coffee next time.

And I won't squeeze the tea bag into the tea. :)
