MONDAY'S FOOD TIP

435800_strawberryIt's that time of year again. Time when strawberries become more plentiful at the supermarket. So, what can you do with all those luscious, sweet strawberries? Well, try this easy Frozen Strawberry Dessert.

FROZEN STRAWBERRY DESSERT

2 egg whites
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sugar
Pinch of sale
1 lb. fresh strawberries, cleaned and hulled and chopped into small pieces
Medium sized container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip®)

Beat egg whites, lemon juice, stawberries, and sugar together until fluffy. Fold in whipped topping.

Line an 8x8 inch pan with graham cracker or vanilla wafer crumbs. Spoon the strawberry, whipped topping mixture over the crumbs or wafers. Sprinkle a few cracker or wafer crumbs over the top. Put the pan in the freezer. Serve frozen.
