Today's tip is not something you would necessarily make "with" your kids but you will definitely want to make these "for" your younger children, and older siblings can help. They're the perfect cupcakes for birthday parties. No cake to cut, no messy cupcake papers to dispose of, and they're so easy for young children to hold.

ICE CREAM CONE CUPCAKES
Flat-bottomed ice cream cones (like the one pictured above)
1 cake mix (any flavor) - it will call for eggs and oil, so you'll need those items also
1 can prepared cake frosting (any flavor)
Candy sprinkles, jimmies, colored sugar, etc. to decorate each cupcake
1 muffin tin (for 12 muffins)
Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the package. Put one flat-bottomed ice cream cone in each section of a muffin tin (this is so the cones won't fall over in the oven). Spoon enough cake batter into each cone so that it is about half full. Bake the cupcakes according to the directions on the cake mix box. Repeat this process until you've used all of the cake batter.
Cool the cupcakes completely. Frost each cupcake with the prepared frosting and decorate with the candy sprinkles, jimmies, colored sugar, etc.
Store in a covered container or serve immediately.
