Tuesday's Food Tip: Sausage Stuffing

Turkey and Dressing is a Thanksgiving tradition, of course. But it's also popular for Christmas dinner. Here's some easy Sausage Stuffing to try.

SAUSAGE STUFFING (Makes enough for a small - 10-12 lb. - turkey)

Saute 1 package of sausage meat with the following, finely chopped:

3 stalks celery
1 small red onion
1 red bell pepper
6 large mushrooms
2 fresh garlic cloves
1 jalapeno pepper (optional)

Drain well.

Add:

1/2 loaf white slice bread, diced into small cubes
1 egg
Poultry seasoning to taste

Mix together loosely; if the mix is too dry, add a little hot water, or chicken boullion. Stuff into your turkey just before it goes into the oven.
