My best friend from California was here last week for my son's wedding. When the champagne was served at the rehearsal dinner we saved all the little wire baskets and lids from the champagne bottles and she made these cute little keepsakes for the bride and groom and other members of the wedding party.
I took this photo myself, so it isn't that great. But I think you can see how she used the wire basket from each champagne bottle to create a little chair. The metal top of the champagne bottle became the "seat" for the chair. And pretty beads were used to decorate the backs of each chair. Under the seat of each chair she used a Sharpie marker to print out the name of the bride and groom and the date of their wedding.
These cute little champagne bottle keepsakes would make sweet gifts any time champagne is used to mark a special occasion - anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, etc.
