Sunday's Food Tip: Bake Some Delicious Cranberry Crunch!

cranberries

Cranberries can be used for all sorts of delicious dishes besides the traditional cranberry sauce used at Thanksgiving. As we move into fall, and fresh cranberries become available in the supermarkets, you’ll want to make some Cranberry Scones, or try this Cranberry Crunch, made with Heavenly Jam Bar Mix from the Three Angels Gourmet Co.

CRANBERRY CRUNCH

2 c. fresh cranberries, washed
1/3 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. water
1 stick butter, melted
1 pkg. Heavenly Jam Bar Mix

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cranberries and sugar and place in bottom of an ungreased shallow casserole dish. Pour the water on top of the cranberries. Combine the melted butter, Heavenly Jam Bar Mix, and chopped pecans in a bowl until crumbly. Pour this crumbly mixture over the cranberries and pat down. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (or until mixture is brown around the edges and cranberries are soft).

Serve the Cranberry Crunch topped with vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream, if desired.
