Sunday's Food Tip: Make the Most of That Egg Slicer!

If you read my food tips on a regular basis, you know I’m all for making the most of each and every kitchen utensil or appliance.

I love handy gadgets.

Sometimes though, these items are designed for such a specific purpose that they just don’t get used very often.

Items like an egg slicer, for example.

I mean, how many times a year do you need to slice boiled eggs into perfectly uniform pieces?

Probably not very often.

Still, if you have an egg slicer lurking in the bottom of a kitchen drawer, and you’ve never (or hardly ever) used it, dig it out now.

Here’s how to make the most of that handy little gadget:

First, find out how to use it to slice eggs here. You just might wonder why you haven’t been using it for this purpose more often.

Next, use it with other foods.

It’s great for slicing mushrooms, for example.

Or, try it with soft fruits…

or bananas.

Gee. By now, if you don’t already own an egg slicer you just might want to purchase one.

Here’s one that performs multiple functions as an egg slicer/wedger/piercer.

Happy slicing!
