Whenever we sample our Mild Chiles & Cheese Dip at stores or trade shows, we keep it hot in a crockpot. We've learned a simple trick to make cleaning the cheese dip out of the crockpot quick and easy.
Prepare the dip mix in the microwave, following the directions on the package. Then open an oven bag and put it in the crockpot. Pour the prepared dip mix right into the oven bag.
Oven bags are meant to be used in hot ovens (no hotter than 400 degrees) to cook meats and poultry, so they're perfect for the crockpot.
When all the dip has been eaten, it's simple to clean the crockpot - just remove the oven bag!
