Wednesday's Food Tip: Plan a Thanksgiving Day Toast

The holidays are the time to create heartfelt traditions for your family. A lengthy prayer of thanks for another year of good health, warm friendships, and meaningful life experiences is a Thanksgiving tradition for many families. But you might want to start a new tradition and let each dinner guest offer a personal word of thanks with a Thanksgiving Day toast.

A few minutes before everyone sits down to dinner tomorrow, serve a special beverage in special glasses to all your guests. When everyone has a glass, announce that you'd like to propose a Thanksgiving Day toast by having everyone share the one thing they are most thankful for this year. Start the toast by telling what you are most thankful for, then go around the room and have each guest offer words of thanks, then drink a toast together to your collective blessings and good fortune.
