Moderation in All Things - It's Something to Consider

TUESDAY'S FOOD TIP

The other day I wrote that moderation is the key to a healthy diet.

I see so many people who are trying to develop healthier eating habits by eating highly nutritional foods, in moderate quantities.

But then they don't follow the "moderation" tip as far as soda or pop goes.

In fact, many people don't want to consume calories from beverages (they'd rather save their calories for food), so they drink diet pop because it has zero calories but still delivers a sweet taste.

Now, I don't see any harm in drinking a diet soda once in a while. It doesn't have any nutritional value, but that's another issue.

But, have you ever noticed how much diet pop some people consume?

Gads! One lady I know drinks up to 3 (2 liter) bottles a DAY!

Don't ask me why she isn't spending her life in the bathroom after all that liquid.

But doesn't she care that all the pop leaches calcium from her bones?

Moderation in all things. That's the key to better health. And moderation even goes for DIET pop. Don't you think?
