Saturday's Food Tip: Easy Pork-n-Bean Casserole

Here’s an easy way to turn plain old pork-n-beans into the perfect side dish for a Labor Day picnic or barbeque.


PORK-N-BEAN CASSEROLE


1 lb. ground beef

1 c. onion, diced

2 Tbsp. brown sugar

1 (1 lb). can pork-n-beans

1 Tbsp. prepared mustard

1 can tomato soup

Salt and pepper to taste


Brown the ground beef lightly with the onion. Pour off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bake 45 minutes or until browned as desired in a 350 degree oven. Serves 4 to 6.

Note: Double the recipe if you'll be feeding a crowd!
