Try Schwan's Home Delivery

FRIDAY'S FOOD TIP

Years ago, my husband and I lived on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Our town was about 2 1/2 hours from the nearest grocery store of any size - which meant, in the dead of winter, when six feet of snow covered the ground, we didn't usually venture to town for just a few groceries. Instead, we stocked up on EVERYTHING when the weather was good and we could easily get to town.

The other great thing, even back then, was Schwan's home delivery. Yes, the Schwan man (as we called him) ventured out to the "res" even in the coldest weather, sometimes rescuing us when "the cupboard was bare."

Today, even though I live just a few minutes from a huge grocery store, I still love the convenience of Schwan's. Their frozen vegetables are wonderful. I stock up on the green beans, peas, broccoili florets, and their California Blend.

If you haven't tried Schwan's selection of frozen vegetables, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Lightly steam green beans, peas, broccoli, corn, etc. with a little seasoning of your choice and you'll think they were "just picked."
