Saturday's Food Tip: Quick Frosting for Brownies

When you’re in a hurry to frost a pan of brownies, try this. Bake the brownies as usual. After baking, when the brownies are still hot from the oven, sprinkle the top of them with a handful of chocolate chips. As the chips melt, spread them out evenly to frost the entire pan of brownies. Let brownies cool before cutting and serving.

Variation: Instead of chocolate chips, use mint or cinnamon flavored baking chips.
